The Arkansas Coalition for Obesity Prevention (ArCOP) is a state-wide coalition that works with communities at the grass-roots level. Through system, environment and policy changes we thrive to increase access to healthy affordable foods and access to places to engage in physical activity. Growing Healthy Locals was created for community members. We want to recoginize the community member’s success stories that have been made through healthy changes in communities. We want a place where “Locals” can strengthen their community awareness by identifying healthy places where their families can live, play, work and worship effectively through the opportunity to find local farmer’s markets, community gardens, places to be active and form support systems within each Growing Healthy Community.
Get Active
Becoming active is the first step to great health and vitality.
Here are a few of the healthy lifestyle resources available in Nashville Arkansas and the surrounding area. The best way to ensure that you stay on your path to optimum health is to enlist a friend to join you. Sharing your journey with someone will motivate and encourage both of you to keep going when doing it alone may seem daunting. When you participate in some fun and enjoyable outdoor activities with a friend as well as engaging in some appropriate-level exercise as a part of your weekly routine, you will find that getting and staying healthy is much easier than both of you ever thought!
